Substance Use Disorder (SUD) is not a moral failing but a complex medical condition that requires understanding and support. Recovery is not about willpower alone; it is about addressing both the symptoms and the underlying factors that contribute to substance use.
At Pathfinder Care, we take an evidence-informed approach to treatment, using scientifically supported methods such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing. We recognize that recovery is different for everyone.
There is no single path to success, and perfection is not the goal. Instead, we focus on providing personalized tools and support to help individuals progress at their own pace.
We live here, too. We chose Anoka County for Pathfinder Care because this community is at the heart of Minnesota’s addiction crisis, yet resources remain limited for those seeking help.
By placing our outpatient center here, we hope we can break down additional barriers to treatment—offering accessible, judgment-free care that empowers people to reclaim their lives while staying connected to their families, jobs, and support systems.
At Pathfinder Care, we offer flexible programs that allow individuals to pursue recovery while balancing their everyday responsibilities.
Our experienced team of licensed therapists and recovery specialists are dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-informed care tailored to each person’s unique needs.
Whether you’re seeking support for yourself, or for someone you care about, we know you’ve got questions
Outpatient Program (OP) -For individuals with mild to moderate substance use challenges who can maintain daily responsibilities while receiving treatment. (ASAM 2.1)
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) -IOP is a more structured – but still non-residential – treatment option for individuals dealing with mental health disorders and substance use disorders. It provides a higher level of care than traditional outpatient therapy, but is less intensive than inpatient or residential programs. (ASAM 1.0)
Co-Occuring Mental Health Support - Approximately half of individuals who have substance use challenges also experience a co-occurring mental health condition. Common mental health disorders seen alongside SUDs include depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder.
If a higher level of care is needed, we will direct you to external programs that may better suit your needs.
We are on target to open our facility in June 2025. Please join our mailing list (above) to receive updated information.
